Postal Stationery Society

In the May 2023 issue of the Journal I put out feelers to see if there was any mileage in running a series on the use of postal stationery for collecting information by means of standard forms. Postal stationery is/was! ideal for this sort of use. There can't be many members who do not have such an example in their collection. So far I have had some encouraging replies and I intend to work through this on a sectional basis starting with Post Office/Government forms. Please see the section part of this series in the forthcoming November Journal.

There has not been any response to this on this forum, so I will deviate a little from the original ask and address something else than "the use of postal stationery for collecting information..." and write about "the use of postal stationery for disseminating information..."

A few years ago, I came across a few "newspaper" wrappers one of which is shown below, front and back. Apparently, they were using wrappers in the US to disseminate legal information about bankruptcy filings! Now, that's creative!

I have also a postcard with a similar text on the message side. But I find the use of a wrapper for this more creative....
